+ What To Wear for Initial Assessment

Make sure to wear shorts, shorts (think 80s-style… well, ideally), and a sports bra, tank top or t-shirt for initial assessment. Oh, by the way, smelling so fresh and so clean wouldn’t hurt either.

+ How many sessions do I need?

Although your Movementologist Therapist will be able to provide you with a much more accurate timeline following your initial assessment, as a general rule of thumb the following holds true: For more minor, non-chronic injuries or movement challenges we can see dramatic improvement within 4-6 sessions. For more major or chronic injuries or movement issues we ballpark around 10-15 sessions. Finally, for severe or long-term chronic issues, it may take up to 20 sessions to see a significant resolution of your symptoms. These are very general estimates and every patient case varies, and often you’ll feel improvement from the very first session.

+ I don't have pain. Can I still come to The Movementologist?

Yes. We do more than just addressing pain. If you’ve been struggling with any movement-related issue, we are happy to help out. Maybe you feel like your hamstrings or hips are always tight and you want to know why, maybe you’ve been missing lifts because your shoulder feels wobbly overhead, or you can’t get into a certain position that you need to during your daily activities. These are all problems that we can help you solve to keep you moving more easily. We are also able to help you “tune up” prior to a competition or recover more quickly after a competition/training session with some tissue work and cupping so that you’re feeling looser and ready to tackle whatever life gives you.

+ Do I fill out a intake online or in person?

all intake are filled online from your appointment confirmation email. Completing it beforehand helps your therapist be more prepared and deliver you a better session.

+ How long does a Movementologist session last?

Your initial session are 60 minutes in length. Follow up are 30 or 60 minutes session.

+ Will I get treated during my initial session?

Definitely. While we start your initial assessment with a thorough body Scan and muscle testing, we also find a lot of value in continually re-assessing throughout your treatment, getting you off the table to walk around, assessing postural changes, and ultimately seeking out the root cause of your dysfunction through constant testing and re-testing through every one of your treatment sessions.

On the other hand, if we take the time on a monthly basis to address your muscular tension, improve your movement patterns, address lifestyle factors, and ensure that we’re dealing intelligently with tweaks and aches before they become a major problem, you’re going to feel better, move faster, and live a longer, pain free life.

+ What does Movementologist cost?

All of our pricing is displayed on our online booking platform and depends on if it’s an initial visit or a follow up.

+ Is Movementologist covered by insurance?

Yes Movementologist takes HSA, FSA Insurance.
